Profile
My interest in maps, mapping, and aerial photography solidified while serving in the military and after my tour I went on to formally study geography. Currently, I serve as the Geospatial Librarian at Emory University where among other things I help people incorporate geospatial technology, spatial analysis, and map design in their instruction or research endeavors. In recent years, my cartographic work has migrated from freelance work to more self-interest projects. My front burner project, is a quidebook with notable author Harry Lefever which will provide a self-guided tour of the sites of the Civil Rights Movement in Atlanta, Georgia. The book will be available in August 2008. My research interest includes communication geography and digital media, geospatial technologies, and urban geography. I am a member of AAG, ASPRS, and NACIS.
